Radeon HD 4850 VS GeForce 9800 GTX

ATI or NVIDIA ? That is a big problem when you have to choose a Video Card. Both of the companies produce really great products. The performance you get from your Video card depends on the your other parts of the computer and the applications you run in your computer. Speaking about the applications everybody knows that nvidia cards are better optimized for Crysis and ATI cards are better optimized for Half Life. If you have a Intel motherboard or Intel chipset it's better to choose ATI. If you have nvidia motherboard or nvidia chipset go for a nvidia.

ATI Radeon HD 4850 and NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX are two of best video cards that's in the market. Best means there not expensive but producing great performance comparing to the price. Here are some technical specifications about these two cards.

Nvidia 9800 GTX is a double-slot card with two additional six-pin connectors and a thick 7-cm fan, on a board that still measures 26.7 cm (10.5"). But at least most of the heat generated by the card is vented directly outside the case



The Radeon HD 4850 has single-slot design, a single six-pin PCI Express connector, small size (23.3 cm – 9.2") and 6-cm radial fan.

I have checked several web sites for benchmarks and both these cards produce nearly same results but Radeon HD 4850 card was little bit high on the results. Also I noticed that Radeon HD 4850 card is cheaper than the Nvidia 9800 GTX card.
